Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Paul stated in this text, that he was not ashamed of the gospel. What a testimony! Here was a man who once persecuted those who were not ashamed and now he is among the persecuted. There has been a wonderful change that was wrought in the heart of Paul. The thing that use to detest, he now adores and he lives to share the good news of Christ. He did not just say theses words, "I am not ashamed of the gospel..." he lived them. He knew the power of God for salvation to everyone.
Today there are many who say inside the walls of the church that they are not ashamed of the gospel, but they never proclaim it outside the walls of the church. Oh, if God's people would trust God at His Word and boldly proclaim the gospel, then we would see the power of God. I hear people say they do not want to offend people. This gospel will offend the sinner, but it is the power of God for salvation. Take it, know it and share it to a lost and dying world!
